Kevin Peterson was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from SUNY Potsdam located in the cold "North Country."  Kevin moved to sunny and warm Durham, NC in 1985 where he continues to reside with his wife.  His son graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and resides in Virginia. Kevin is now enjoying his retirement life. He started making woodturnings as a hobbyist in 2008. A passionate craftsman at his lathe, Kevin creates one of a kind turnings and enjoys working with exotic woods from all around the world, domestic woods from the United States, and acrylics which gives his work a contemporary look and feel.

When not making turnings on his lathe, Kevin can be seen working with Boy Scouts, smoking meat on his Kamado Joe, and cheering on the Hokies.
